Key Responsibilities-
Academic Support
· Provide 1:1 or small-group mentoring focused on study skills, organization, time management, and exam preparation.
· Support learners to set goals, track progress, and reflect on their learning journey.
· Assist with understanding assignment briefs, planning work, and developing independent learning skills.
· Identify learners' needs and create personalized support plans.
· Support learners transitioning into FE or progressing to higher levels or employment. Pastoral & Wellbeing Support
· Offer guidance and a safe, supportive environment where learners can discuss concerns.
· Build positive, professional relationships that promote confidence and resilience.
· Recognize indicators of mental health or safeguarding concerns and escalate appropriately.
· Promote attendance, punctuality, and positive behavior. Collaboration & Communication
· Work closely with teaching staff to identify learners who require additional support.
· Contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings regarding learner progress.
· Liaise with external agencies where necessary (e.g., social services, youth support, careers teams).
· Maintain accurate records of mentoring sessions, progress, and interventions
