The Role

As a Teacher of Maths, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality teaching and learning in Maths up to GCSE level.
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Tutoring and managing one or more courses or groups of students.
  • Supporting the development of the Maths curriculum alongside the Head of Faculty.
  • Acting as a Course Tutor for full-time and part-time student groups.
  • Monitoring attendance, progress, and achievement, ensuring appropriate records are maintained.
  • Collecting and analysing data for course evaluation and continuous improvement.
  • Providing learners with timely feedback and support to help them achieve their goals.
  • Contributing to a positive, inclusive, and learner-focused environment.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • A Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject.
  • A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards and achieve a Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Certificate in Education) or equivalent.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and experience of the GCSE Maths curriculum.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • A passion for education and supporting learners to achieve their full potential.
  • Experience working within a Further Education setting is desirable but not essential.
