About the Role / Job Summary:
We are currently seeking dedicated support staff to work within our supported accommodation services on a flexible shift basis. The primary shift pattern is a 24-hour shift from 09:00 to 09:00 the following day, which includes a sleep-in period between 23:00 and 07:00. Additional cover may be required for day shifts and wake night shifts. Experience working with young people with complex needs, safeguarding knowledge, and the ability to work within a trauma-informed framework are beneficial. Reliability and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver person-centred support in accordance with Ofsted Quality Standards.
- Build trusting relationships and provide emotional and practical support.
- Promote independence through life skills development.
- Support access to education, training, and health services.
- Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records of support and achievements.
- Participate in multi-agency meetings and collaborate with professionals.
Qualifications:
- Qualification in health and social care is beneficial.
- Experience in a similar support role is highly valued.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overnight shifts.
Education Requirements:
- English O' Level or GCSE.
- A relevant Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable.
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
Experience Requirements:
- Proven experience working with young care experienced people.
- Understanding of safeguarding principles.
- Experience supporting young people with complex needs.
