About the Person

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a promising track record to contribute to our growing research strength in public health, and to contribute to teaching on our existing BSc in Health & Exercise Science, and MSc in Global Public Health & Policy.
The successful applicant will be invited to join the Bath Beacon in 21st Century Public Health, and be part of a growing programme of high quality public health teaching and research within the university. Our aim is to cement Bath as globally recognised centre of excellence using interdisciplinary approaches to understand and support effective responses to the complex challenges facing human and planetary health.
You will be teach topics related to epidemiology and evidence-based approaches to population health to Undergraduate students within the public health strand of our BSc Health & Exercise Science, and the MSc Global Public Health and Policy, according to their particular research expertise. Successful applicants will be asked to take on other roles in teaching support such as personal tutoring, dissertation supervision, course development and other administrative activities as they arise.
The role is offered on a full time (36.5 hours per week) permanent basis.

Job Purpose
To deliver teaching, learning and assessment to learners on a wide range of health and social care related qualifications delivered as part of Newham College’s £7.5 million Get Into Healthcare Programme.
Tutors will have recent experience in the health and social care sector and will be aware of the needs of unemployed and economically inactive learners looking to develop the skills necessary to progress into employment or further education and training. The Get Into Healthcare tutor will take responsibility for the effective running of the courses and the associated requirements in accordance with the GLA Adult Education Budget funding regulations.
