Morgan Hunt is delighted to be supporting a well known Public Sector organisation recruit a Procurement Officer. The company is based in Edinburgh and operate a hybrid working model.

The role:

  • Managing and developing contracts for goods, works & services
  • Drafting project documentation
  • Updating communication on various contract management websites
  • Coordinating various procurement activities such as organising meetings and preparing documents
  • Research information to support procurement process in relation to contract award/management
  • Provide assistance to wider Procurement team

Requirements:

  • Public sector procurement/contract management experience is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Experience in editing and producing documentation
  • Competent in MS Office packages

Are you a Revenues and Benefits Officer looking for work in Greater Manchester?

Morgan Hunt\'s Public Sector and Government client based in Greater Manchester is looking to recruit a Revenues and Benefits Officer to provide support throughout a busy period.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35 and will offer hybrid working.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

- Proficiently use the Academy (Capita) Revenues and Benefits processing system
- Assess all types of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support/Reduction claims for all tenure types
- Process new claims and changes in circumstances
- Assess student claims, persons from abroad, and self-employed claims
- Deal with Universal Credit cases
- Assist with backlog clearance
- Deal with ATLAS
- Liaise with external organisations including Landlords, Employers and the Department for Work and Pensions
- Advise claimants on Benefit entitlements and legislation changes
- Administer the billing and collection of Council Tax
- Open, close and amend Council Tax Accounts
- Take payments and set up direct debits
- Apply discounts and exemptions
- Handle moves in and out of properties
- Assist with customer queries over the telephone

Are you a Corporate Contact Centre Team Leader looking for work in West London?

Morgan Hunt\'s Public Sector and Government client based in West London is looking to recruit a Corporate Contact Centre Team Leader to lead a front line team of eight direct reports who are responsible for assisting with all incoming call queries to the Council.

This assignment will run for twelve months initially with a view to extend, has been deemed inside of IR35, and offers hybrid working with two days a week working on site in the office and three days a week working remotely from home.

As a Corporate Contact Centre Team Leader, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and delivering exceptional customer service across a diverse range of functions including:

  • Council\'s Switchboard
  • Children\'s and Families Information Service
  • Public Realm
  • Environmental Services
  • Planning
  • Building Control
  • Environment and Protection
  • My Account
  • Adults Social Care
  • Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support

Ideally, the successful candidate will be able to:

  • Demonstrate their knowledge of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support legislation and regulation.
  • Demonstrate their knowledge of Council Tax billing, collection and recovery legislation and regulation.
  • Proficiently use the IWorld/Northgate Revenues and Benefits processing system.
  • Support the Contact Centre Manager in securing the continuous development, improvement, efficiency, and success of the Department as a whole.
  • Interpret and assess customer needs.
  • Generate original ideas.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to operational issues and requirements.
  • Implement service plans which dove tail with the broader Departmental Plans and Council strategy.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage teams to achieve high performance and operational effectiveness.
  • Initiate and embed service improvements based on quality assurance, feedback, and observations.
  • Oversee the performance and quality assurance of customer service teams, ensuring efficient resource utilisation.
  • Work in collaboration with other service areas and departments.
  • Keep abreast of industry developments and best practices to continuously improve service delivery.
  • Support the Contact Centre Manager in achieving targets and service plan objectives.
  • Produce reports and data to forecast service peaks and implement mitigation plans.
  • Efficiently manage competing priorities to meet performance standards and objectives.
  • Foster a solution-focused approach to enhance first touch resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to the Council\'s policies on customer care, equal opportunities, data protection, and health and safety.
  • Promote environmental sustainability in alignment with Brent Council\'s carbon-neutral objectives.
