Housing Assistant (8 week initial Contract)
Location: Fife
Hours: 32 hours per week
Contract: 8 weeks initially
Are you passionate about delivering excellent customer service and helping people find their new home? We're seeking a Housing Assistant to support a housing provider for a duration of 8 weeks initially. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to tenants and communities while gaining valuable experience within a busy, customer-focused housing team.
As a Housing Assistant, you'll play a key role in managing housing applications, tenancy sign-ups, and end-of-tenancy processes. You'll provide professional advice and support to customers, ensuring they receive a positive experience throughout their housing journey
Responsibilities:
- Managing housing applications and property allocations in line with policy and procedures.
- Conducting property viewings and preparing tenancy agreements and welcome packs.
- Supporting customers through the start and end of their tenancies.
- Liaising with colleagues and partner agencies to deliver a smooth service.
- Assisting with tenancy terminations and helping to reduce void turnaround times.
- Ensuring compliance with housing legislation and internal processes.
Requirements:
- HNC qualification or equivalent experience in housing, lettings, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a housing or customer service role.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and digital skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge of housing legislation and data protection requirements.
- A team player who's adaptable, empathetic, and focused on great customer outcomes.
