Mobile Estate Services Caretaker - Berkshire

Morgan Hunt is recruiting for a Mobile Caretaker to work with a Housing Trust based in Berkshire on a Permanent basis. The details of the job are below:

Hours: Full-time 36 hours 7.30am to 15.30pm Mon - Fri

Salary: £27,248 per year

Location: Berkshire

Must have full clean driving licence company van will be provided.


Job Role

As a Mobile Caretaker, you'll be the go-to person for keeping trust estates clean, safe, and welcoming. You'll travel across multiple sites, making sure communal areas are spotless, hazards are reported, and residents feel proud of where they live. With a company van provided, you'll be out and about, making a visible difference every day.

What you'll do

• Provide cover for caretaking and gardening colleagues across our estate portfolio
• Keep communal areas clean, tidy, and graffiti-free
• Report repairs, vandalism, and safety hazards
• Attend estate walkabouts to help tackle anti-social behaviour
• Maintain refuse systems and carry out scheduled cleaning tasks
• Perform safety checks, including emergency lighting and fire alarm testing
• Work closely with the Estate Services Area Manager to keep everything running smoothly

What you'll need

• A valid UK driving licence
• Great customer service and communication skills
• Basic literacy and numeracy
• Understanding of health and safety regulations
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Physically fit and ready for hands-on work
• A flexible, proactive attitude and a team-player mindset
• Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check

This is a mobile role, so flexibility is key. This role is based in Reading, but you will be required to cover all areas of the North Counties. You'll be travelling between sites in a company van, and you'll need a full UK driving licence. A Basic DBS check is required.
