📍 Location: Northamptonshire (4 days per week in office - non-negotiable)

💰 Rate: £28 - £30 per hour (Inside IR35, umbrella)

🕒 Contract: 3-month temporary assignment

⏰ Hours: 37 hours per week

I'm recruiting an exciting opportunity within the Public Sector and Government for an experienced Housing Options Advisor to join a proactive and supportive housing team based in Northamptonshire.

This role is ideal for a someone passionate about helping residents secure stable housing and prevent homelessness. As a Housing Options Advisor, you'll provide tailored advice, conduct statutory assessments, and work with landlords and partner agencies to deliver real outcomes for the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver frontline housing advice and homelessness prevention in accordance with the Housing Act 1996 (Part VII) and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
• Manage a caseload of customers who are homeless or threatened with homelessness, from triage to decision.
• Complete statutory assessments and issue accurate Section 184 decision letters.
• Engage with landlords, private sector providers, and support agencies across Northamptonshire to secure sustainable accommodation.
• Maintain casework using the Jigsaw system, ensuring compliance with Public Sector and Government standards.

About You:

• Proven experience in housing advice, homelessness prevention, and case management within the Public Sector and Government.
• Strong understanding of Part VII of the Housing Act 1996 and homelessness legislation.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
• Confident working in a busy frontline environment with minimal supervision.
• Must be based locally in Northamptonshire, with the ability to attend the office 4 days per week.
