Are you an experienced Housing professional with a passion for leading high-performing teams and delivering excellent neighbourhood services?

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Neighbourhood Services Team Leader to join a well-established Housing provider on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a housing management professional with strong leadership skills and a proven track record of delivering customer-focused services within a social housing environment.

The Role

As Neighbourhood Services Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing a team of up to eight Neighbourhood Officers, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality housing management service to residents. You will provide operational leadership, coaching, and support to your team, ensuring housing management decisions are compliant with legislation, policy, and best practice.

Working closely with internal departments and external agencies, you will play a key role in driving service performance, supporting vulnerable residents, and ensuring customers receive an effective and responsive service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Neighbourhood Officers
  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews, and development planning
  • Ensure housing management activities are delivered in accordance with legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Support the delivery of a customer-focused, right-first-time service
  • Work collaboratively with Income, Lettings, and Tenancy Enforcement teams
  • Manage complex housing management issues and provide guidance to staff
  • Build effective partnerships with local authorities and external support agencies
  • Monitor service performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Support customers who may require multi-agency intervention and tenancy sustainment support

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience managing or supervising housing management teams
  • Strong knowledge of housing management, tenancy management, and neighbourhood services
  • A good understanding of social housing legislation, regulation, and emerging sector developments
  • Experience delivering customer-focused housing services within a social housing environment
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced operational environment
  • A relevant housing qualification or significant equivalent experience

Additional Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use
  • Basic DBS check
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, including regular office attendance

Contract Details

  • Interim contract with an initial term of approximately 3 months
  • Full-time hours, 37hpw
  • Potential for extension
