Senior Data Lead - Workday

Morgan Hunt are working with a large public sector organisation to recruit a senior data lead with workday experience. The position leads the data workstream within a Workday implementation programme, overseeing the end-to-end data migration and governance strategy. This includes responsibility for data extraction, cleansing, mapping, validation, and reconciliation, ensuring data readiness ahead of the Workday system integrator (SI) engagement.



Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Data Workstream: Manage the data component of the Workday programme from planning through to delivery.
• Develop Data Migration Strategy: Define and execute strategy, tools, timelines, and best practices for data conversion.
• Data Handling: Oversee data extraction, cleansing, mapping, transformation, and validation across HR, Finance, Payroll, and other domains.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with business SMEs and other technical leads (e.g., Integration Lead) to ensure alignment and clear data ownership.
• Governance & Reporting: Monitor and report data readiness, risks, and issues to technical and programme leadership.
• Technical Expertise: Serve as the SME for Workday data structures and reporting; produce artefacts like migration plans, data dictionaries, and mapping specs.

Essential Skills:

• Experience in data lead roles in ERP/HCM programmes in Workday
• Experience in data migration to Workday
• Strong understanding of Workday data models, structures and configurations
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance requirements

Contract until 31/03/26

Hybrid working (London, Glasgow, Cardiff offices)

£700 per day
