About the Role
- We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Recovery Coordinator to join our specialist substance misuse service. You will support individuals affected by drug and alcohol dependency, helping them achieve sustainable recovery through person-centred care planning, risk management, and partnership working.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of service users from assessment through to recovery and discharge.
- Complete comprehensive assessments and develop personalised recovery plans.
- Deliver ongoing key working sessions and regular reviews.
- Coordinate interventions tailored to individual needs.
- Signpost and refer service users to specialist services including:
- Housing
- Mental Health
- Employment & Education
- Benefits Advice
- Physical Health Services
- Promote harm reduction and safer substance use practices.
- Carry out risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
- Maintain accurate electronic case records.
- Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies.
- Encourage service users to build resilience, independence and long-term recovery.
- Support individuals to access community recovery groups and peer support networks.
- Ensure all work complies with safeguarding, confidentiality and GDPR requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Experience working within substance misuse, mental health, homelessness, criminal justice or a related support setting.
- Experience managing a caseload.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive and professional relationships.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to complete accurate records and reports.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and risk management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
- Experience using case management systems.
- Knowledge of recovery-focused interventions.
- Understanding of trauma-informed practice.
- Experience working within multi-agency environments.
